Here are the screen shots of the process of running iOpenvpn. The following
screen shows the iOpenvpn icon.

On pressing the icon,
the following screen appears when you are connected to wifi
and your DNS is not configured as Opendns ( 208.67.222.222).
You are required to follow the instructions below and change
your DNS to openDNS and restart iOpenvpn after doing so.
The screen will not appear if your DNS is already configured to use
openDNS.

On pressing the iopenvpn icon, the following screen should appear when
one is connected via the carrier; if you are connected to wifi,
this screen will appear as the next screen after you have configured
the DNS to point to 208.67.222.222. Please press the Start iOpenvpn!
button to go ahead. ( The Advanced button helps you to reconfigure iOpenvpn
so that the userid/password screen appears the next time you run iOpenvpn.
Otherwise, it appears only the first time, and the next time the same
userid/password is taken. The View Log screen shows the logs.)

The next screen is the userid / password screen which will appear
only once. The next time onwards, the same userid, password will be
taken. If you want the screen to appear again, you need to use the
Advanced button on the start screen (as stated above) which gives an option for doing
so. You should have gone and signed up at http://www.iopenvpn.com
to use iOpenvpn and get yourself a userid and password. Please note
that the userid is the email id that you used to sign up on
http://www.iopenvpn.com After you enter userid and password and the
Done button, there will be a white background screen for some time.
Have patience.

The next screen, when it appears, shows that iOpenvpn is
in the process of connecting to the server. The screen will appear
and after sometime it will go off, and there will be only white
background for some time. Have patience.

The appearance of the following screen --- which occurs after the
white background appears --- shows iOpevpn has
connected successfully. Press the connection complete button.

The appearance of the following screen shows that you are ready
to surf.

Press the Home button of your iphone and start surfing or use other
applications securely via the VPN.
One question that may arise is how can one be sure that all the
packets are being encrypted and going via the openvpn server.
One way to check is the following : access the url http://www.google.com
via safari. Since our servers are in Canada, when iOpenvpn is running,
this url gets translated into http://www.google.ca This is a sure
shot test to confirm that iOpenvpn is running successfully.
(Of course, this test won't help if you are already located in Canada.
For them, only getting into the iphone and using a sniiffer such
as tcpdump, is the option.)
Terminating iOpenvpn
To terminate iOpenvpn, press the iOpenvpn icon again.
You will see a screen which has three options namely Exit iOpenvpn,
Ignore, and View Logs.
Press Exit iOpenvpn, and iOpenvpn is terminated. A screen indicating
successful termination should appear, along with instructions to change
your DNS back. If you are running on wifi, you could continue to use
opendns, and there is no need to change the DNS, unless you want to
switch back to your earlier DNS. If you are on a carrier, you will have
to change back the DNS.
You can mail us at info@iopenvpn.com for any other issues.
